Xiaomi Announces Price Drop on Mi A2 & Redmi Note 6 Pro
A couple of weeks back, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphones in the Indian market. With the intense competition from the brands like Realme and Samsung, the company now announced a price cut on their old-gen devices. Last year’s Xiaomi Mi A2 and Redmi Note 6 Pro are now available at their cheapest prices in India. The Mi A2 is the company’s only Android One smartphone currently available in the Indian market.
The device comes with a Full HD+ 18:9 display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform. It also sports 20MP dual cameras on the rear and a single 20MP camera on the front. Earlier this year, the company announced the first price cut of Rs 4,500 which brought the price of its 4GB RAM variant to Rs 13,999. Now, the second price cut further decreases the price of the device to Rs 11,999.
On the other hand, the company also announced a price cut of Rs 2,000 on the 4GB + 64GB variant of Redmi Note 6 Pro. It can be purchased through online and offline stores for Rs 11,999. Compared to Mi A2, the Redmi Note 6 Pro looks more modern with the notch display and also sports dual cameras both on the front and rear. However, it is powered by Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform and also runs on the MIUI injected with ads.
Unlike the current trend of gradient finish glossy bodies, both these Xiaomi devices comes with a metal built body. Compared to these two devices, the Redmi Note 7 and Realme 3 at a slightly lower seems to offer better value.
