The British company Wileyfox is known for making Cyanogen Smartphone’s has now launched two new devices called as Wileyfox Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus for an affordable price. These devices are priced at £159 (approx $199) and £189 (approx $236) respectively and are targeted towards entry level market. Recently the company has launched devices like Wileyfox Storm, Wileyfox Swift, Wileyfox Spark and few more.
Wileyfox Swift 2
These premium looking devices will come with Metal Unibody design and will also feature fingerprint sensor to enhance the security levels. Well, the Wileyfox Swift 2 will feature a 13MP camera sensor on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. There is a 5-inch HD display and will be powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. This device was announced a few days earlier and has been launched as promised.
The onboard memory on this handset is 16GB which can be extended upto a maximum of 64GB with the help of microSD card. There is a fingerprint sensor on the device, and on the back, there is a 2700 mAh battery that supports QuickCharge 3.0. There are other standard connectivity options and sensors, and the device will run on CyanogenOS 13 based on Android 6.0.1.
The Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus will come with a 5-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels resolutions giving a pixel density of 294 ppi and is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Under the hood, there is a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 1.4GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 450 GPU.
Out of the box, the handset will run CyanogenOS 13 based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 which can get further updates. On the back, there is a Li-Ion 2700 mAH (supports QuickCharge 3.0) battery and the device will be available in Gold and Grey color variants. The onboard memory of the device is 32GB which can be extended up to 64GB via microSD card slot.
On the rear, there is a 16MP camera with Dual LED flash while there is an 8MP camera on the front. There are sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient light and connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.aa b/g/n, GPS and supports USB Type C connectivity.
