WhatsApp Business App rollout begins for iOS devices

Published

The interactive messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out its new business app called WhatsApp Business early last year. The Android app was free to download and was targeted for smaller businesses to interact with their customers more conveniently. The WhatsApp Business app is a platform that utilizes tools for automated and quick responsive messages between companies and consumers. During the launch, the app was restricted for Android users only, well that might be not the case anymore. WhatsApp has started rolling its small business app for Apple iOS devices as well.

First spotted by WABetaInfo, it appears Facebook-owned messaging platform’s WhatsApp Business app has started appearing in the Apple App Store on iPhones in the countries like Mexico. Several users have reported that they could install the new WhatsApp Business app across their iPhones. This isn’t surprising since the Facebook-owned company had already begun its beta testing of the WhatsApp Business app’s iOS version last month.

WhatsApp Business app is currently being used extensively in the country with popular apps such as BookMyShow, Ixigo, Cleartrip and more. As stated, this business version of WhatsApp acts as a barrier between the smaller businesses and consumers wherein users could find small businesses’ significant details like working hours, location details and also sharing the useful links of the respective companies and more.

Lastly, the report from WABetaInfo hints the roll out of WhatsApp Business app to Apple’s App Store has begun from Mexico as of now. The rollout appears to be region-wise, and there are other users from countries like France and Brazil stating the WhatsApp Business app’s availability on the App Store. Since this is a regional based rollout expect your iOS device’ App Store to get the new WhatsApp Business app to be available sometime soon. Will you be using the new WhatsApp Business app on your iOS device? Do let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more interesting updates.
