Vodafone 4G Services Launched in Gujarat with Special Data Pack of Rs 998 for 20GB

Vodafone India has announced it’s 4G services in the state of Gujarat. Just after the Reliance Jio announced its nation-wide opening of 4G services officially with possibly the best tariff plans around the world. In the wake of the Jio announcement, current top players have to counter this situation and Vodafone is doing that by announcing 4G services in Gujarat with a special data plan of Rs 998.

Touting it’s SuperNet 4G launch in the state, it is offering 20GB 4G data at pretty impressive rate. Announcing the roll-out from Surat, the British owned subsidiary of Vodafone has jumped into the price war for data packs with Reliance Jio.

Notably, Surat is Vodafone’s first 4G location in Gujarat, as they plan to cover 206 towns in the state, whereas nationally company plans to wider their presence in over 1,000 towns with their 4G network. The telecom operator has set goals to increase data revenues from the subscribers present in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi – NCR, Haryana, Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh (East) and now Gujarat. These regions have Vodafone’s 4G network.

Of course, Vodafone doesn’t have pan-India licence for offering 4G services, but it did win spectrum in some significant circles where data usage is higher than rest. Currently, it is reported that about 70% of Vodafone India’s data revenues comes from nine circles.

The company has SuperNet 4G built in the 1800 MHz band, which allows access to high-speed internet through a range of smart devices such as phones and Wi-Fi dongles. Customers can walk into any of the Vodafone brand stores in Surat to get their 4G SIM free of cost.

They can also check through an SMS whether their SIM is 4G compatible. Type 4GCHECK and send it to 199 from your Vodafone mobile number if you’re residing in the state of Gujarat. Additionally, there is a provision of doorstep deliver of Postpaid SIM Cards. It can be done by contacting customer care of Vodafone or just texting 4GSIM to 199 from your Vodafone SIM enabled handset.

As a part of launch offer, telecom operator will double the data allowance of new Vodafone 4G subscriber who will purchase data pack of more than 1GB allowance. Moreover, they can also enjoy three months of access to Vodafone Play subscription, which includes free TV, movies and videos.
