Vivo Z5x with Punch-hole Display & 5000mAh Battery Might Launch Soon in India

Vivo has started teasing the new Z-series launch in India. The company has posted several photos on its official Twitter handle which contains word with missing ‘Z’ letter. Vivo will be selling the upcoming Z-series smartphones exclusively via online stores with an aggressive price tag. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed any details about the Vivo Z-series smartphones. Apart from selling on its own online store, the company might also exclusively partner with either Amazon India or Flipkart. As per the rumors, Vivo could launch the Vivo Z5x smartphone in the Indian market.

In China, the Vivo Z5x is the most affordable smartphone to come with a punch-hole display. It sports a 6.53-inch punch-hole display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The camera cut-out on the top left corner measures just 4.59mm in diameter. Under the hood, the Vivo Z5x comes powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC featuring the Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU. The device comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based FunTouch OS 9.0 out of the box.

In the camera department, it sports triple camera setup on the rear with a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it is equipped with a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. It is backed by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 18W dual-engine fast charging. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Vivo Z5x is available in Black, Blue, and Gray colors in China.

The base variant of the Vivo Z5x with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1398 (approx USD 200 / INR 14,000). In India, the Vivo Z5x will be competing with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M40 which also comes with a punch-hole display.
