Vivo Y31A with Snapdragon 410 SoC & 8MP Camera Launched at 999 Yuan

Vivo is one of the fastest growing mobile phone brands in the world’s largest smartphone market China. The company has launched a new entry-level smartphone called Vivo Y31A which is the successor for Vivo Y31. Both the Vivo Y31 and Y31A sports same design but we can find little differences in the internals. As of the now, the Vivo Y31A is limited to Chinese market while the Vivo Y31 along with Y27L and T15S are launched in India in September last year.
The device sports a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution IPS display while its predecessor came with an HD resolution display. Under the hood, the Y31A is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz while the Y31 came with a MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM, and the storage has been doubled up from 8GB to 16GB. There is a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage.
It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with customized FunTouch OS overlaid. There is an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 2MP front camera with a f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls. The device is backed by a 2,100mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE for faster data speeds.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Vivo Y31A measures 137.24 x 68.76 x 8.39 mm and weighs 141 grams. The textured plastic back cover offers some nice grip to hold on to the device. The device is priced at 999 Yuan (approx $154 / Rs. 10,250) which is priced slightly higher than Y31.
