Vivo is one of the fastest growing mobile phone brands in the world’s largest smartphone market China. The company has launched a new entry-level smartphone called Vivo Y31A which is the successor for Vivo Y31. Both the Vivo Y31 and Y31A sports same design but we can find little differences in the internals. The device sports a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution IPS display while its predecessor came with an HD resolution display. It has 1GB of RAM, and the storage has been doubled up from 8GB to 16GB. There is a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage.

It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with customized FunTouch OS overlaid. There is an 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 2MP front camera with a f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls. The device is backed by a 2,100mAh battery that might not last more than a day of usage. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE for faster data speeds.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Vivo Y31A measures 137.24 x 68.76 x 8.39 mm and weighs 141 grams.
