Last week, there are leaks about the mid-range Vivo Y3 smartphone. Today, the company has officially launched it in China. The Vivo Y3 comes in Blue and Pink color options with gradient finish. Just like the other Vivo smartphones, the new Vivo Y3 also comes with a glossy finish polycarbonate body. There is also a 2.5D curved glass on top of the display. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based Funtouch OS 9 out of the box. While the device is also loaded with in-house voice assistant Jovi, there is no dedicated button for it.

Talking about the display, the Vivo Y3 sports a 6.35-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and 19.3:9 aspect ratio. With the waterdrop notch, the display on this device offers 89% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it comes powered by the 12nm MediaTek Helio P35 (MT6765) octa-core processor. It includes 8x Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.3GHz and 680MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. The Vivo Y3 comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

On the rear, the device sports triple camera setup featuring a 13MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The wide-angle sensor comes with 120-degree field-of-view and it offers a 108-degree image after wide-angle correction. For selfies, the Vivo Y3 sports a 16MP front-facing camera. It is backed by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery and also supports 9V/2A (18W) fast charging. However, it uses the dated MicroUSB port instead of the USB Type-C port for charging.

It supports dual SIM dual standby and there is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 256GB. While there is a fingerprint scanner on the rear, the device also supports face unlock using the front camera. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge. The device measures 159.43 × 76.77 × 8.92 mm. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
