Vivo XPlay 5 with 6GB RAM & Snapdragon 820 Confirmed on March 1st

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker has teased the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone XPlay 5 with some specifications which were heard only in rumors. Though there are no much details regarding the device, the company has confirmed to launch the Vivo XPlay 5 powered by the Snapdragon 820 along with a whopping 6GB of RAM. It will be the successor for the It will be the successor for the XPlay 3S that launched in 2013. that launched in 2013.

The device was earlier expected to launch in the month of December last year, but the company came up with Vivo X6 and X6 Plus smartphones. Apart the mentioned features, the device will be launched on March 1st in Beijing in China with a curved display on the both sides. The recently launched Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge also came with dual Edges and with some improved features compared to its predecessor.

If the leaked details are to be believed, the device will feature solar charging option with a battery of 4,300mAh capacity. The 6-inch display is said to come with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and XPlay 5 houses a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Huawei P9 which was also skipped to launch at a unique event after MWC is also said to sport 6GB of RAM. It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with customized UI overlaid. Since the launch date is just eight days away, stay tuned for more information in the coming days.
