Vivo will be launching X9 and X9 Plus smartphones in China on November 16th. Both these devices will replace the X7 and X7 Plus that are launched in the first half of 2016. The leaks suggest both the new devices to come with much more superior specifications when compared to their predecessors. Today, the company is launching the Vivo V5 and V5 Plus smartphones with a 20MP front sensor in India. Now two new devices with the model numbers X9 and X9L are listed on TENAA, and we expect them to be the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus. While the specifications and images of the devices are yet to be updated, several leaks have already revealed most of the specifications.

While most of the Chinese are offering dual camera setup on the rear and higher megapixel cameras on the front, Vivo is now combining them for making the selfies looks better than ever. Both the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus will be featuring dual front cameras with 20MP and 8MP sensors. From the images, the device looks to miss the front facing LED flash. On the other hand, Vivo will be launching the Vivo V5 smartphone here in India with a 20MP single sensor front camera and a single LED flash. On the back, the X9 and X9 Plus includes a 16MP primary camera with dual tone LED flash.

Under the hood, the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. The Vivo X9 is said to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display while the X9 Plus features a slightly bigger 5.88-inch display with the same resolution. As mentioned by the company, the device comes with just 1.59mm thick bezels on the sides of the display. The displays on these new devices will be protected by a Gorilla Glass 5. Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Vivo XPlay 5 Elite as the world’s first smartphone with 6GB RAM. Till date, many companies have introduced 6GB RAM smartphones. The list also includes Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro and the popular OnePlus 3.

Now the Vivo X9 Plus will continue to use the 6GB RAM along with 64GB of storage whereas the Vivo X9 will be limited to 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. With all those power-draining hardware, the device will be equipped with dual chip fast charging technology. The Vivo X9 is backed by a 3,050mAh non-removable battery, and the larger X9 Plus comes with a bigger 4,000mAh battery. The front facing home button on both the devices will be integrated with a fingerprint sensor. As seen with the earlier high-end Vivo devices, these new devices will also offer Hi-Fi audio as they will be featuring exclusive audio chip. The Antenna band are now curved which looks similar to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
