Last year, Vivo launched Vivo X20 and X20 Plus smartphones as the successors to Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones. Now in 2018, we are seeing leaks about the Vivo X30 smartphone. Earlier this month, the company launched Vivo X20 Plus UD as the world’s first ever smartphone with an under display fingerprint in China. Talking about the Vivo X30 smartphones, we leaked images of the front panel reveals some interesting information.
As seen on the Apple iPhone X, the Vivo X30 also comes with a notch on the top of the display. While the notch on the iPhone X is filled with several sensors required for the Face ID technology, the Vivo X30 only features a front camera, earpiece, and regular sensors. Compared to the notch on the iPhone X, the one on the Vivo X30 looks smaller in length and width. It should simply sit in the middle of the notification bar in FunTouch OS.
The smartphone also sports an edge-to-edge display with rounded corners. If the company wants to include the under display fingerprint scanning technology on this device, we might see the AMOLED panel instead of the IPS panel. Even the newly launched Vivo X20 Plus UD also came with an AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. However, it still came with bezels on the top and bottom of the display.
Talking about the newly launched Vivo X20 Plus UD, it will be exclusively available in China starting February 1st for 3,598 Yuan. Apart from the new under-display fingerprint sensor, the Vivo X20 Plus UD is the same Vivo X20 Plus launched late last year. It sports a 6.43-inch FullView AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform and includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
