Last month, Vivo launched the Vivo V9 smartphone in India. It is the first Android smartphone with display notch to launch in the Indian market. Today, the company launched the affordable variant of the Vivo V9 with trimmed sown specifications. The new Vivo V9 Youth is priced at Rs. 18,990 and comes with very basic specifications. For few extra thousands, the Vivo V9 seems to offer much better value. On the design front, the Vivo V9 Youth looks exactly similar to Vivo V9.
It comes with a metal unibody design and will be available in Black and Gold color options. On the front, the Vivo V9 Youth sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 256GB using a MicroSD card.
In the camera department, the Vivo V9 Youth sports a 16MP + 2MP dual rear cameras and a single 16MP front camera. Both the front and rear cameras are accompanied by a LED flash. It runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with the highly customized Funtouch OS laid on top. The device comes with triple card slot for adding two nano SIM cards and one MicroSD card. On the rear, we can also spot the fingerprint sensor.
It is backed by a 3,260mAh non-removable battery and lacks fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Vivo V9 Youth measures 154.81 x 75.03 x 7.89 mm and weighs 150 grams. It will be available through offline stores starting today and online sales will begin from April 24th via Amazon.in, Flipkart, and Paytm Mall.
