Vivo iQOO Neo With 6.38-inch Super AMOLED Display & Snapdragon 845 SoC Launched in China

Vivo introduced its new iQOO sub-brand early this year and had launched its Vivo iQOO smartphone. The iQOO brand is emphasized as Vivo’s gaming series featuring super liquid technology, 4D Game Shock and Touch acceleration features alongside the industry leading specifications. The company had announced that it would bring the trimmed down version of the Vivo iQOO smartphone, which was also said to be focusing on gaming as well.

And as promised, Vivo had launched its new Vivo iQOO Neo smartphone — the company had already put the first look of earlier suggesting what we could expect with the new Vivo iQOO Neo smartphone that hinted us a full-screen display alongside the triple rear cameras. The trimmed down version of the new Vivo iQOO Neo features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED full-screen display enclosed in a glossy gradient finish body build. The AMOLED screen achieves an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and also utilizes DSP acceleration technology.

Under the hood, the Vivo iQOO Neo is powered by last year’s powerful flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. Vivo has opted for a powerful processor instead of a mid-range chipset for its trimmed down version of the flagship, which is surely commendable.

Since it emphasizes on gaming, it comes with 4D Shock 3.0 with Game virtual light effect and suer liquid cooling technology as well. The device further comes with Monster compiler enhancement technology that is said to be giving more enhanced gaming experience. It also comes with Game Turbo feature as well. Further, the device is equipped with either 6 or 8GB of RAM followed by 128 or 64GB onboard storage options.

As for the cameras, the iQOO NEO comes with Super Wide-Angle AI three-shot camera comprising of a 12MP primary sensor followed by 8MP super wide angle sensor and a depth-sensing camera as well. On the front, the iQOO Neo is also equipped with a 12MP selfie shooter.

The Vivo iQOO is powered by a decent 4500mAh battery that supports the 22.5W fast charge that claims to charge the battery up to 50% within 30 minutes. The device further ships with Android Pie with FuntouchOS 9 running on top of it, which also brings the new dark mode for more than 300 applications.

Vivo has launched the Vivo iQOO NEO in China, and the pricing starts at CNY 1798 (Rs 18,100 approx) for the 6+64GB variant, CNY 1998 for 6GB+128GB (Rs 20,100 approx) variant and CNY 2098 (Rs 21,100 approx) for 8GB+64GB and CNY 2298 (Rs 23,100 approx) for the larger 8+128GB variant. The Vivo iQOO will be featuring in Electro-optic Violet and Carbon Black color variants.
