Viaan Mobiles to be Launched on 25th Nov by Indian FIlm Actress Shilpa Shetty

A new smartphone brand is about to debut in the Indian smartphone market. Indian film actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra will be unveiling their new smartphone brand ‘Viaan Mobiles.’ The company has sent out the media invites for the event scheduled on November 25th in Mumbai, India. Currently, the devices are being tested under a pilot project in Mumbai and other neighbouring cities.

Starting with the mobiles, the company want to expand its line-up by covering all the consumer electronics. The list includes V Tab, V Power, V-TV  and mobile accessories. Instead of staying online or focusing on cities, the company is collaborating with various vendors to sell their products in the rural markets.

As of now the company is more focused on offering affordable devices without compromising on the user experience. Once the results are positive from the pilot project, the service centres will be established all over the country for better after sales services. The devices will be sold outside of India in selected markets like UAE, the U.S and some parts of Europe.

A couple of years back, the Indian smartphone brands had the major shares in the entry-level smartphone segment, but with the entry of Chinese brands the whole market had seen dramatic changes. By offering devices online; company’s like Motorola, Xiaomi, YU are offering smartphones with better specifications with affordable pricing.

While Viaan Mobile has chosen to sell the devices offline, it has to compete against the likes of  Micromax, Intex, and Lava that have a stronghold over the offline markets. With the declining market share of Samsung devices in India and other international markets, the company is now more focusing on the entry-level segment. Talking about the Viaan Mobiles, since the scheduled event is just a couple of days away stay tuned for more updates.
