Samsung has announced that it is now going to bring support for its upcoming QLED 2019 TV lineup with Amazon’s Alexa or Google Assistant apart from Bixby. The User will be able to execute commands from Alexa or Google Assistant but the built-in voice helper will be Bixby. Both Alexa and Google Assistant will be able to Control volume, switch inputs, launch an application of the users choice or turn off or on the television.

Bixby has deeper and advanced capabilities in Samsung’s Wizen TV software and the user will be able to talk to Bixby with the Samsung TV remote control only. We know that many are already using the Echo and Google Home devices for smart monitoring and usage and this ecosystem is expanding vastly. Taking the point into consideration, the South Korean Giant is bringing this feature to its upcoming TVs to make them smarter.

There are plenty of Alexa devices in the market along with few Google assistant supported devices and they have to be connected to the TVs. We know there are more than 100 million Alexa users around the Globe and on contract, Samsung’s Bixby powered galaxy Home speaker has not been shipped by the company yet and moreover, the digital assistant is limited only to Samsung’s wearables, TVs, Smartphones and other appliances.

The older Samsung TVs are also expected to get Alexa or Google Assistant support soon once the newer TVs are launched. Are you planning to get a new TV from Samsung? Do you already use one?
