UMi, a Chinese smartphone maker, has unveiled their latest flagship smartphone, just in time when Apple introduced their latest iPhone 7. On the iDay, many brands would stay away, while UMi is touting their latest UMI Plus handset, which a long lasting beauty flagship handset as claimed by the company.
Talking about the UMi Plus, it has used a 6000 Series Aerospace-class Aluminium Alloy for the metal body construction. It has a front facing fingerprint sensor embedded on the Home Button, which company calls as Front Touch ID. It can unlock the device in between 0.1-0.3 seconds and perform multiple functions.
The display on the UMi Plus is from Sharp. It is a 5.5-inch Full HD display when compared to HD display on iPhone 7, which is also quite small at 4.7-inch. The brand touts this as a sunlight readable display, which means brightness levels are high, and you would be easily able to read easily in bright sunlight.
The company also endorse it’s crystal clear and powerful speakers with dual grill. The Hi-Fi + technology is used, which is said to be reliable for clean and accurate sound output. In terms of the camera package, it has a Samsung sensor at work on the rear side. The module is of 13-megapixel and has a 5-elements lens with the support of dual LED flash.
Regarding the processing power, it has a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, which is touted to be powerful and efficient chipset. It is coupled with a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. While talking about the battery capacity, it has a 4000 mAh capacity battery, which is quite superior to most handsets as it offers quick charge support.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based operating system. While from the looks of it, the interface might be stock, but even if it isn’t, it should have a good user experience as all the Marshmallow features are expected to be available such as Doze mode, File Explorer, etc.
