TCL, one of the largest Chinese electronics manufacturer is set to expand its brand globally. The company also sells the smartphone under the brand Alcatel which has a good little market share in most of the Western markets. Both Alcatel and TCL smartphone are already available in India, but now the company has sent out the press invites for the global launch event of TCL 560 which will be held on July 4th in New Delhi.
The TCL 560 is said to feature the IRIS scanner for making the device even more secure. It unlocks the device by scanning the retina in the human eyes, just like fingerprints, every human has different retina identification. In December last year, TCL also launched the TCL Pride T500L Android smartphone in India with IRIS scanner. It is priced at Rs. 10,499 and is sold exclusively through Snapdeal.
Yesterday, Reliance’s smartphone brand LYF also launched the ZTE Blade S7 as the LYF Earth 2 in India with IRIS scanner. If the rumors are to be believed, the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 and Note 7 Edge are said to feature the same IRIS Scanning technology. Talking about the TCL 560 specifications, it comes with a 5.5-inch display and powered by a quad-core processor. We can expect the device to run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
