TCL 580 Smartphone with 5″ AMOLED Display & 3GB RAM Launched in China
Along with the flagship TCL 950, the company also launched the budget smartphone TCL 580. Just like TCL 950, the TCL 580 also comes with glass body with a metal frame. However, the fingerprint which is placed on the rear of the TCL 950 is shifted to the front on TCL 580. It will be available in Gold and Silver color options. It comes with 5-inch HD AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The device is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Mali T860 GPU.
The TCL 580 includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot. It is a dual SIM dual standby device and offers 4G LTE only on one SIM. Coming to the cameras, it has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF for faster focusing. On the front is a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the cameras are equipped with LED flash for capturing images even in the low light conditions. There is also a 2460mAh non-removable battery that is expected to give at least a day of usage. The big oval shaped home button come integrated with the fingerprint sensor.
The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device, and there is no multi-function key as seen on TCL 950. It measures 144.5 x 69.2 x 7.05 mm and weighs 135 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It is priced at 1399 Yuan which converts to $210 / Rs. 14,00.0 The device will be on sale starting from October 10th through Chinese online stores. Much like the other Chinese launches, there is no information about the availability of TCL 580 in foreign markets.
