Swipe launches Konnect Plus with 2 GB RAM, 13 MP Camera at Rs 4,999

Swipe is known for making low-cost smartphones and has already launched a couple of them previously. The company launched the Konnect 5.1 earlier this year in the month of February. The Konnect 5.1 is priced at about 3,999 INR, and it offers great specs for the price. Now Swipe is launching a new device called the Konnect Plus, which is more or less an upgrade to the previously launched Konnect 5.1.

The new Konnect Plus comes with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 X 720. The display is covered with a Dragon Trail display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor and is packed with 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB of onboard internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card up to 64GB. As far as the camera is concerned, we are looking at a 13-megapixel rear facing and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera.

The Konnect Plus is running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphone will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which should be able to keep it powered for an entire day easily since it only has 720P display. This dual SIM smartphone supports Dual SIM and 3G connectivity. Other hardware specs include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc.

The new Swipe Konnect Plus is priced at 4,999 INR and will be sold exclusively via the Snapdeal online store, just like their previous offerings. Talking about the previous launches from the company, as mentioned earlier, they also launched the Konnect 5.1. That features a 5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) display. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocking at 1.2GHz and packs 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card up to 32GB. In terms of camera, it had an 8-megapixel rear facing camera and a 3.2-megapixel front facing camera.

The company is known for selling a budget smartphone with a large value for money specs, and it is expected that this new Konnect Plus will also be a great offering on the same lines. Stay tuned for more info on this.
