The smartphone with a 5.2-inch 1080p display was earlier launched in Japan, and it was expected to be limited to only the Japanese market for that name, because the expectation was different for an international flagship.
The 6.9mm thick Xperia Z3+ comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor (64-bit) along with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM, along with 32GB internal storage and a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It is a waterproof and dustproof design, just following Sony’s tradition of launching flagships with resistance to water.
A dual SIM variant, named the Z3+ Dual is also going to be available. Samsung’s omnibalance design is used here, and there is a glass body with aluminium frame given on its side. The triluminos display that was a part of Xperia Z3, is what we will see on the Z3+ as well.
The device has a It has a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, and a single LED flash is also provided. The camera is able to capture 4K videos, and the BIONZ image processing engine is what helps in captures. On the front is a 5.1-megapixel camera capable of capturing 1080p videos.
The Xperia Z3+ is powered by a 2930mAh battery, and the smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with Xperia UI layered over it. Although this is a new flagship for the Japanese market, we expect Sony to launch a better device with changes in the camera, and the display, later during the end of the year.
