Earlier this year, Sony unveiled the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact smartphones. These are the first Snapdragon 845-powered smartphones to be unveiled officially. From the last couple of months, there are leaks about the upcoming Xperia XZ3 and XZ3 Compact smartphones. During the IFA 2018, the company has scheduled an event on August 30th. While there is no official confirmation, the company is expected to launch the Xperia XZ3 smartphones on that day.
Based on the leaks, the company is expected to launch the Xperia XZ3 smartphone with quad cameras, two on the rear and two on the front. We have already seen a few smartphones from Huawei and Honor with quad camera setup. However, the Xperia XZ3 will be the first flagship device to carry four cameras. On the hand, the Google Pixel 3 devices are rumored to launch with the single camera on the front and rear.
The device is accidentally listed for pre-orders revealing the first look and few key specifications. However, the listing looks fake as the image used is of the recently launched Xperia XZ2 Premium. Take these details with a pinch of salt and wait for the official confirmation. The Sony Xperia XZ3 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will be costing $995. It comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display and will be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform.
While the listed device comes with 64GB of internal storage, we can also expect the company to announce the 128GB storage variant as well. It might be running on the latest Android 9.0 P out of the box with the Xperia UI on top. In the camera department, the Xperia XZ3 sports dual camera setup on the rear featuring 19MP and 12MP sensors. While the website says the device to come with a 13MP single front camera, the leaks suggest the Xperia XZ3 to sport dual front cameras.
