Sony officially announced the new Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra on August 3. Earlier the company has launched the Xperia C5 Ultra in India at a price of Rs.29,900 and today Sony has also launched the dual-SIM variant of Xperia M5 with a price tag of Rs.37,990. The device will be available offline within the next few days and for those who look to purchase online, it will be available exclusively on The USP of the device is its cameras; it has a 21.5MP Exmor sensor that can capture the image in just 0.25 second with the help of Hybrid AF f/2.2.

For those who love to take selfies, the Xperia M5 will never disappoint with its 13Mp front camera with autofocus. Unlike Xperia Ultra C5, the Xperia M5 doesn’t sport a front-facing LED flash. Coming to the other specifications, the device sports a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display with a pixel density of 441ppi. It comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, coupled with PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is a 16GB of internal storage out of which only 10GB will be available to the end users, not to forget that the device also has microSD slot that support upto 128GB.

According to Sony, the 2,600mAh battery on Xperia M5 delivers upto two days of usage on mixed usage and gives standby time upto 671 hours or upto 12 hours of talk time. Like the other Xperia devices, the Xperia M5 also comes with IP65 and IP68 certifications that make it waterproof and dustproof. The device measures 145 x 72 x 7.6 mm and weighs 142.5grams for single SIM variant while 142.6 grams for Dual SIM variant.

Alongside the Xperia M5, the company also announced the Xperia C5 Ultra, the device comes packed with a 13MP camera sensors accompanied with LED flash on both, front and rear sides. It sported a 6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display and powered by 64-bit MediatTek MT6752 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz coupled with Mali760 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The thin bezel on both sides of the display doesn’t make the device feel heavy even with the bigger 6-inch display. It also comes with few features like ‘Mini Mode’ where you just need to slide the finger diagonally and the screen shrink the screen to 4-inch.
