Sony is one of those smartphone manufacturers that haven’t had good sales in the year 2015 though the company had launched some well-designed smartphone, it had surely been hit by the price point of those devices since many Chinese smartphones with the same specification are available at almost half price of what Sony is selling. Though we don’t expect the company to sell the affordable devices, what we can expect is the innovation in the design and software perspective.
The new renders of a Xperia device in Gold color leaked online, the design of the device looks more like Xperia C5, which suggests the device to be the Xperia C6. On the front, we can clearly see the large display with thin bezels. Though the Sony logo is not shown in the images, the round shaped power button along with volume rockers and shutter button confirm it as a Sony device.
The device is expected to launch at the MWC 2016 that will be held in February in Barcelona. It sports a metal body with a 2.5D glass on top of the display; few leaks suggest the device to sport a 6-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, the Xperia C6 is powered by Helio P10 processor. While the Xperia Z5 lineup of devices are unveiled at IFA 2015 held in September, the rumors about the Xperia Z6 are already started coming out. All the Xperia Z6 devices will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and sports metal body with rounded edges.
Last year, Sony had launched the Xperia C5 Ultra priced at Rs. 29,990 in India. It came with a 6-inch Full HD display with very narrow bezels. Under the hood is the MediaTek mt6752 octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of storage that can be expandable upto 200GB. It came with 13MP front and rear camera along with LED flash for both cameras.
