Sony to Launch New Xperia Smartphone with 5.7″ 21:9 Display & Snapdragon 710 SoC

At the MWC 2019, we have seen Sony debuting smartphones with the new Cinemawide 21:9 displays. While the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus are mid-range devices, the Xperia 1 is the flagship smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. Now, the latest reports suggest the company might launch a new Xperia smartphone with mid-range specifications. As per the leaked specifications, it might be much more powerful than the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus smartphones.
This new Xperia smartphone will be coming in Silver, Black, Purple, and Red color options. It comes with a 5.7-inch display with Full HD+ (2520 × 1080 pixels) resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. FYI, the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus smartphones come with a 6-inch and 6.5-inch displays respectively. Under the hood, this new device will be featuring 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.
It packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expandable using the MicroSD card slot. On the rear, the device will be offering a dual camera setup. It measures 9.4 mm thick and comes with a 2,800mAh non-removable battery. Unlike the Xperia 10 devices, this new device will lack the 3.5mm audio jack. Based on the leaks, the new Xperia device might be exclusive to Docomo in Japan. The device will also come with IP certification for water and dust resistance.
