Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi Smartphone Could Launch on May 13th
Xiaomi’s Redmi has already confirmed to launch its first-ever flagship smartphone very soon in China. The latest reports suggest the company might officially launch the Snapdragon 855-powered Redmi smartphone on May 13th. Interestingly, Realme recently confirmed to make its debut in the Chinese market on May 15th. However, we still don’t think Redmi will be able to launch its flagship smartphone that soon. Take these details with a pinch of salt and wait for the official confirmation.
Even Realme isn’t launching the rumored Realme X Pro smartphone powered by Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform on May 15th. Talking about the Redmi’s flagship smartphone, it is already teased in a promo video with a full view display with no notch or bezels. The device will be coming with a pop-up selfie camera instead of the front-facing camera. Earlier, Xiaomi launched the full view smartphone where the front camera is placed on the bottom chin.
Based on the rumors, we might be looking at a 6.39-inch bezel-less AMOLED display. Coming to the camera department, its first flagship smartphone will be the first one to sport triple cameras on the rear. We will be looking at a 48MP primary sensor along with an ultra-wide-angle sensor and a telephoto sensor. As seen on the other Redmi smartphones, the upcoming flagship smartphone from Redmi will also offer AI-based camera features like auto scene detection, AI beauty mode, AI Portrait mode, and more.
