But looking at the iPhone, smartphone brands still copies the iconic design of the Apple’s smartphone. Below, we have compiled a list of smartphones that looks similar if not the same in design aesthetics.
Disclaimer: We are not claiming that these smartphones are direct or indirect copy of Apple iPhone.
HTC One A9
Last year, HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has struggled a lot to convince its fans and worldwide smartphone consumers that its flagship product, One M9 can beat the competition. But they failed to woo any general audience. That’s why company came up with a mid-range premium phone named One A9, its new handset in the A Series. If you look at it, the device remarkably looks like iPhone 6/6S, which is the most recent Apple devices.
The design similarities between the One A9 and Apple iPhone are only external, while the HTC handset sports quite different specifications. It sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED display packing in a pixel density of 441 PPI (Pixel Per Inch). There is a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage on this handset, which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card slot. Lenovo S90 Sisley
Lenovo, the Chinese smartphone maker, which is known for its affordable range of smartphones in India, launched S90 last year in February. The Sisley S90 is a handset that clearly reminisce the design of an Apple iPhone. Take a look at the Lenovo handset in question and you’ll notice the similarity in every possible way. From antennas to the curves in edges, as well as the rear camera and LED Flash is placed on top end corner. You can also notice the volume rocker keys and power button. Though, from the front, it doesn’t exactly resemble the iPhone, while on the rear side, one could easily misunderstand it for an iPhone if the Lenovo logo is removed with an Apple branding.

At first look, you wouldn’t see the inspiration from iPhone. For that, you would have to look at specific parts. Such as the bottom edge has the same dual grill and centered charging connector. Further, you can see a sleek edge that almost looks straight from iPhone 5S.
Moreover, you will hardly see a proprietary button for the alert slider, which does the similar functionality of switching between sound profiles, i.e. silent, vibrate, and sound. This alert slider takes inspiration from the switch button that appears just above volume rocker keys. It is used to switch between Ring/Silent.
