Samsung has launched a new smartphone in their Z series and this new one is called the Z4. The Z4 as the name suggests is a successor to the existing Z3 smartphone which the company launched earlier. And just like the other Z series smartphone, this one is also powered the company in-house Tizen 3.0 OS. The smartphone will be made available in India from 19th May via major brick and mortar stores across the country. It is priced at Rs. 5,790 for which you will be getting a back cover bundled in the box.
In terms of the specs, the Z4 is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and it is coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage which can also be further expanded via a microSD card upto 128GB. On the front, the Z4 has a 4.5″ WVGA display which has a resolution of 480 x 800. This display is covered by a 2.5D curved glass which again allows for a smooth overall usage of the smartphone.
The highlight of this smartphone is, however, the software as it runs on the company’s in-house Tizen 3.0 OS. Tizen, as we all know, is slowly getting better by the day and hence we can expect this also have a good user experience.
In terms of the camera, we have a 5MP rear facing shooter along with a LED flash. On the front also there is a 5MP front-facing selfie camera. The smartphone is kept powered by a 2,050 mAh battery which should be good for a day’s worth of usage in a single charge or maybe even more than that in some cases. Connectivity options in this smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, VoWiFi. (the availability of VoWiFi may vary depending on the country and service provider).
As mentioned earlier, the software is the highlight and it adds a lot of interesting features like Quick Talk, Quick Torch, Quick Launch of the camera or Quick Switch. These are all nice features to have in hand like the Quick Talk will launch a set of shortcuts localized by region, such as Alarm, Call, or Music, simply through voice activated commands.
