Samsung Started Manufacturing Z3 in India, Expected to be Launched Soon

Update: Sep 15, 2015 – Today a new image of Samsung Z3 has been leaked online with a polycarbonate body. The volume rockers are placed on the left of the device while power is on the right side. According to the listing on Zauba, India’s import and export tracker, Samsung has already started manufacturing the Z3 at its Noida plant in India.

The 1,000 units of the smartphone components bearing the model number SM-Z300H are shipped from South Korea to New Delhi. Though it was rumored to be unveiled at the Tizen Developer Summit held in July, the company hasn’t revealed anything about the device. Since the production has already started we can expect the device to be launched anytime soon.


Earlier: July 22, 2015 – Samsung is going to announce the Tizen powered Z3 during the Tizen Developer Summit, which will be held later this month. According to the leak, Samsung will launch the Z3 in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. As expected the upcoming Tizen phone comes with much better specification than the Tizen Z1.

The rumored specifications of the device are 5-inch HD (1280×720) Super AMOLED display, a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC7730S quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage space along with a microSD card slot. There is a battery of 2,600 mAh capacity, an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It runs on the latest Tizen 3.0 operating system and supports dual SIM dual standby. We will update the article with confirmed specifications once the device is launched until then take this with a pinch of salt.

Earlier: July 3, 2015 – It isn’t new that companies skip the series numbers all the time and Samsung is about to do that only. There are reports of confirmation that the South Korean giant would be announcing the new handset in their Z series of smartphone. According to the SamMobile’s sources, the company is skipping the Z2 model in its Tizen based smartphones series and would be launching the Z3 instead.

Though, there was no reasoning came out in reports that why company is skipping the Z2. The newly confirmed device from Samsung would be nametag as SM- Z300H_SWA_DD. This is “confirm”, SamMobile’s insider sources that it indeed would be the net smartphone from the company to hit the market.

The features of this device are yet to be confirmed. But we shadow upon the rumors going around, then it can be said that it would supposedly sport a 5-inch display and powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. The Z3 would be running on latest Tizen 3.0 OS out of the box and would be sporting some new features with focus on Internet of Things (IoT).

Talking more about the specs, it might pack 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with room for expansion via a microSD card. As well as sporting 5MP rear and 2MP front facing the camera, with a battery capacity of 2000mAh.

There are no dates or time frame revealed for the new Z series smartphone launch, but in the upcoming developer conference in India about the Tizen, it could be possible that we would see the glimpse of new Tizen powered device.
