Earlier this year, Samsung introduced the all-new Galaxy M series and revamped its existing Galaxy A series to launch new smartphones with a more aggressive approach. The company launched the new Galaxy A10, Galaxy A20, and Galaxy A50 smartphone in February this year. As of today, Samsung is selling a total of 6 smartphones under the new Galaxy A series. The latest reports suggest the company has 5 million Galaxy A smartphones in India, that too in just 70 days.
With the record sales of the Galaxy A smartphones, the company has fetched $1 billion (approx INR 7,000 crore) in revenue. Just last month, the company mentioned selling over 2 million units with a revenue of $500 million (approx INR 3,500). In the last 30 days, the company not only doubled up its revenue but also sold 250% more smartphones. The company is yet to launch the Galaxy A80, Galaxy A60, and Galaxy A40 smartphones in the Indian market.
All these three smartphones were launched in China with an aggressive price tag. The Galaxy A60 is the most affordable smartphone to come with a punch-hole display. It also sports the same 32MP triple camera setup on the rear and a single 32MP camera on the front. The company also launched the high-end Galaxy A80 smartphone with a notch-less and bezel-less display. It comes with a rotating camera where the rear cameras can also be used for capturing selfies.
It is also world’s first to come powered by the 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform. While these new Galaxy A smartphones will be coming to the Indian markets in the coming months, the company also announced a price cut on existing smartphones. The low-cost Galaxy A10 which was launched at Rs 8,490 is now available for just Rs 7,990. On the other hand, the Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A30 have received a price cut of Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
