Samsung plans to showcase Prototype of foldable Display Smartphones at MWC
At the MWC 2017 which is scheduled later this month, Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display will unveil its foldable smartphone and its display in a private exhibition room which is not accessible by all (general public) as it only limited to invited customers. This move is taken to look into the market responses and analyze the demand in the future. At the event, the company has made preparations to produce a video with the latest version of the prototype.
According to few reports, an official said, Majority suppliers are expecting Samsung Electronics to quickly commercialize parts quality and performance that they can supply for the foldable smartphone. Samsung Electronics has not yet confirmed the timing of the commercialization of foldable Smartphones, but we can expect it to be announced soon.
Last year we saw Lenovo first unveiled prototypes of the Foldable Smartphones, but the performance of the core parts didn’t make it to the production levels. According to the reports, it is said that the details of the perfection is missing like the folded part of the smartphone is as not smooth since it used PET (polyster) film instead of using CPI.
Samsung has said that it is world’s first challenge and is the process of mass production to maximize the quality credibility and clear user appeal points. We are not sure when these smartphones with the foldable display will be coming to the market, and we need to wait few more days for the company to showcase the prototype video.
