After a lot of speculation surrounding the launch of the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, the company has officially given out a date for the launch. Samsung has started sending out an invite for an Unpacked event which is scheduled to take place on August 23rd and this is where the company will be unveiling the new Galaxy Note phablet.
Taking a look at the invite, one thing which is clear is that there is no mention of the Galaxy Note 8 anywhere. However, we can clearly see a silhouette of a Note smartphone with an S-Pen along with it. this could either mean that it will be called the Note 8 smartphone itself or else we could see the company coming with some other name for the same. Either way, it is pretty much confirmed that the company is going to launch a new Note phablet next month.
Now as far as the specs of this particular Note phablet is concerned, it is expected that it will carry a massive 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The aspect ratio of the same is expected to be the same as that of the Galaxy S smartphones. And just like the Galaxy S8 flagships, depending on the region, the user will be able to purchase this smartphone with Snapdragon 835 chipset or an Exynos 8895 SoC under the hood. This is also expected to be coupled with 6GB RAM, which is more than what we saw with the Galaxy S8 smartphones.
The new Galaxy Note phablet will also come with an S-Pen with some advanced new features. And if the rumors are something to be believed, the upcoming Note phablet will also come with a dual-rear camera setup. And coming to the battery, the new Galaxy Note smartphone is expected to carry a 3,300 mAh battery internally. As we all know, the battery was the main issue with the Galaxy Note 7 and hence this time, we hope things are under control with the new phablet.
Other details on the phablet are known at this point, however, we suggest you stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more details since the launch is scheduled to happen next month.
