Samsung has launched the Samsung Gear S2 along with Gear VR in India. It comes with a circular watch face with 1.2-inch “full circle” design. This circular dial allows you to navigate and interact with the watch. It comes with 360 x 360 pixel Super AMOLED display gives a 302ppi pixel density protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.It comes powered by a Samsung Exynos 3250 chipset with dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz. The device sports 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage and runs on the Tizen OS, and is powered by a 250 mAh battery.
Heart rate sensor, Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Barometer, Ambient light sensor are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device. The Gear S2 is IP68 certified as well which makes it water-resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes under water. Setup Guide for Samsung Gear S2:
Press and Hold the power button (right bottom) till the screen gets turned ON. Now open the PlayStore and download the ‘Samsung Gear‘ and ‘Gear Plugin‘ apps onto your Android smartphone. Once the mentioned apps are downloaded, turn ON the Bluetooth and open the Samsung Gear app on your smartphone. Pair the Gear S2 with your device by confirming the code from the pop-up menu on your smartphone.
You can either connect your Samsung account to get the Notifications and Find my Gear features even when the Bluetooth is disconnected, or else you can skip this step. Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch can be easily connected with any of your smartphones. To connect your smartphone with your watch, you need to pair the device and watch with the Bluetooth first and then device can be easily setup using the Samsung Gear application and with Gear Plugins.
To change the screen brightness on your Samsung Gear S2, open the settings and tap on Display. In the new window, head over to the brightness option and tap on it. Now the brightness can be changed by rotating the dial log or else by tapping the plus and minus button on the screen.
The Samsung Gear S2 comes with many faces pre-installed on it and the additional can be download from the Samsung Galaxy store. There are three ways in which you can change the Face on your Samsung Galaxy Gear S2.

The device comes with three Font options, i.e., Choco Cooky, Cool Jazz and Rosemary. To use any of them on your smart watch, open the settings and tap on display. In the new window, head to the bottom of the screen and tap on Font. You will find two options Font Style and Font Size, Tap on font size and click on the check box, adjacent to the font to apply that on your device. In a similar way you can change the font to small, medium or larger depending on your choice.
Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n and NFC are the connectivity features available on the device and helps in connecting easily with your smartphone.
The device comes with two gestures on it, i.e., the Double press home screen and wake-up gesture. The double tap home screen option is used to open any of the selected application directly by tapping your home screen. The Wake-up gestures is used to wake the gear by raising the arm, the gear is on and looking its screen. These options must be enabled on your device to use them on your gear S2.
Samsung Gear S2 comes with many smart options where you can secure your device with a password. To set the password for your device, open the Settings and head over to the Screen lock option and tap on it. You will find two options pin and none, now tap on PIN. You need to enter the Pin twice and apply that on your device. Now your smartwatch is secured by a 4 digit Pin.
Power saving mode is used to enhance the battery life of your device in low battery condition with limiting the number on options on your device. To enable the power saving mode on your Samsung Gear S2, open the settings and head over to the Power Saving option and tap on it. A power saving message stating, ” It saves battery by using a grayscale Home Screen, turning off all functions except calls/messages/notifications and Limiting maximum performance.” with yes and no options. Now tap on the tick mark to apply that on your device. The screen is changed to gray scale with limited options, i.e., Time, call, battery and power saving off option, tapping on off button and click on tick mark to disable the power saving mode on your device.
The device comes with 4GB as its internal Storage out of which around 1.9 GB of free space is available on the device. To check the internal storage, open the settings and tap on Gear info. In the new window, tap on About Device and head over to the storage option. The Storage details are displayed on the screen.
Samsung’s new smartwatch i.e., the Gear S2 comes with a heart rate sensor which is used to measure the heart beat on your device. To measure the heart rate using the Gear S2, unlock your locked watch and rotate the cadran until the measure option appears on the screen. Now tap on the measure option and remain silent for a while. The heart rate is measures and the reading is displayed on the screen.
The device comes with many applications like S Health, Nike Plus, Call, Alarm, S Planner, Briefing, Stop watch, Find My Phone, world Clock, Timer, Location and voice recorder pre-installed on to the device.
