Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Receiving new Update that brings June 2019 Security Patch

Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is receiving a new update which will be bringing the latest Android security patch to Galaxy Tab S5e tablet. The update is being rollout in the United Kingdom and in South Korea but nothing is mentioned about the rollout in other markets. The update comes with the model number T720XXU1ASF1 for the Wi-Fi model as of now and the LTE model should be getting the update within this week. A few hours back we have also seen Samsung pushing Android 9 Pie update to its Galaxy Tab Active 2 rugged tablet.

The Galaxy Tab S5e comes with an AMOLED display with a thin frame and this mid-range tablet was launched a few weeks back and since then has received a couple of updates in its home country while it received one update in the UK. This Galaxy Tab S5e falls in the quarterly security update schedule and will not be receiving updates as frequently as we have seen with the smartphones after an initial couple of months.

Talking about this Galaxy Tab S5e tablet from the South Korean Giant, it features a 10.5-inch WQXGA (1600 x 2560 pixels) resolutions. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC with dual-core 2.0 GHz and Hexa Core 1.7 GHz processor coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM options. It is available in 64GB and 128GB of onboard storage options and also 512GB variant can be chosen. The device comes out of the box with Android 9 Pie operating system and might also get further updates when available.

This tablet comes with the Bixby 4 speaker sound by AKG along with Dolby Atoms support. There is a 13MP main camera sensor on the rear while on the front we can find an 8MP camera. It comes with USB Type-C connectivity and is available in both Wi-Fi only and LTE variants. To power the tablet there is a 7040mAh battery and also supports fast charging.
