Back in March, this year Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy Tab A 8.0″ (2019) with S-Pen support. Before that, Samsung has also unveiled the Galaxy Tab A 10.1, Galaxy Tabs S5e, and the Galaxy Tab Active 2 as well. The Korean tech giant has yet added another entry-level tab for its existing tablet line-up named — Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019), yes, the moniker appears o be the same as the earlier launched model; however, the former came with S-Pen support, and this one isn’t.
This new addition from Samsung for its tablets portfolio comes with a metallic design featuring an 8-inch WXGA display that achieves an aspect ratio of 16:10. Under the hood, the new Galaxy Tab A packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, followed by 2GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The tab further has microSD expansion of up to 512GB.
The Galaxy Tab A 8″ comes with an 8MP rear camera followed by 2MP front-facing camera as well. On the I/O, the tab comes with micro USB port for charging and data transfer and a 3.5mm headphone jack too. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 support, and 4G LTE. The Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab A is available only in certain regions.
And, lastly the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0″ is powered by a 5100mAh battery capacity. The new Tab ships with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. As for pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0″, the company hasn’t released any details yet. Regardless, the tab will be available in Black and Silver color variants.
