Samsung has finally listed the Galaxy Tab A (2016) SM-T280 on their official website of Germany. Last week we had exclusively reported about the 7-inch Galaxy Tab A (2016) listing on one of the Poland’s online store. Though we spotted both Wi-Fi only and LTE variants, today’s official listing shows only the Wi-Fi variant. The Wi-Fi only variant of Galaxy Tab A (2016) is priced at EUR 169 and comes in White and Black color options as we mentioned previously.

It comes with a 7-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) TFT display and comes powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The tablet includes 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage while only 4.3GB is available to the end user. It comes included with the MicroSD card slot for expanding additionally upto 200GB. The new Tab A runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized TouchWiz UI laid on top. There is a 5MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP fixed focus camera on the front.

It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that gives up to 10 hours of video playback and 11 hours of internet browsing. The Tab A 2016 also comes with the latest Kids Mode 4.0 that gives more controls to parents for tracking the children activity on the tablet. It includes multitasking for using two apps at the same time, with the latest Android N, Google has officially brought the same feature to Android OS.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0. It measures 186.9 x 108.8 x 8.7 mm and weighs 283 grams. We can also expect the Galaxy Tab A (2016) LTE variant with the model number SM-T285 to launch soon and as seen with 2015 Tab A tablets, the new tablets can be launched under Tab E (2016) series in the U.S.
