A new Samsung tablet in the Tab A series is leaked in press renders along with few important specifications. The tablet likely to be called as Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) and as the name suggests it features a large 10.1-inch screen size. It will be launched in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE variants which the comes with model numbers SM-T580 and SM-T585 respectively.
The 10.1-inch IPS display comes with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. It will be powered by in-house Exynos 7870 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.6GHz. There will be 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the TouchWiz UI laid on top.
On the camera part, the Tab A 10.1 includes an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It is backed by a huge 7,300mAh battery that can give decent battery life. The tablet features a physical home button, and there are no details mentioned about the presence of fingerprint sensor. It has dual stereo speakers that are placed on the bottom edge of the tablet.
With such a large battery, the Tab A 10.1 measures just 8.2 mm thickness and weighs 525 grams. The Wi-Fi only variant of Tab A 10.1 will be priced at EUR 289 and will be available starting from June, while the LTE variant will be available within a week and bears a price tag of EUR 349. The availability of this tablet outside of Europe is still unknown.
Last week, the high-end Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 is spotted on TENAA with an 8-inch AMOLED display. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It includes 32GB of internal storage and includes a 4,000mAh battery. The Tab S3 8.0 sports an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and a 4,000mAh non-removable battery. It is expected to be made official in the early June at least in China.
