Samsung sells 100,000 Galaxy S7 within 48 hours of Launch in South Korea
2016 is a very Important year for Samsung, which is when they should either make it or break it because the last few years have been very bad for them in terms of sales. This year they had launched two Smartphones in their flagship S Series and both have been nicely welcomed by the consumers. We now have reports from different sources claiming that they have been getting a good response when compared to the last year’s Galaxy S6 Smartphones.
According to a report, the brand has received a total of 100,000 units orders within the first two days of launch in its home city ie South Korea where we had earlier heard that Apple is eating up its market share. On the first day, Samsung received a total sales of 60,000 units followed by 40,000 on the next day with the S7 Edge amount to 40% of the total that was rather surprising. Last year it was evident that the S6 Edge was getting more positive response probably because of the introduction of the Edge display and the panels that has faded by time.
According to Samsung, the sales fared pretty well even on a “slow day” that’s Saturday and they are fine with the numbers. Both of these devices are already launched in many countries with prices starting at around USD 700. The most important features include larger battery capacities, water-proof, dust-resistant features and a much improved low-light camera. The brand has also introduced back the Micro-SD Card option that was removed with the Galaxy S6, making sure that they have ensured all the consumers demands are met.
If we speak about the global data, there isn’t any report on the same for the Samsung sales but if we recall Apple had a great sale on the Launch of iPhone 6s, where they had announced a total of 13 Million units sold on Launch weekend which in itself is a huge number. That said, we are also expecting a new iPhone SE in the coming weeks, that Samsung could compete with their Galaxy S7 Mini.
