Samsung Galaxy S7 Mini with SD-820 expected to Launch around Apple iPhone SE Launch

Samsung is riding high on the early success of the S7 & S7 Edge, as the pre-booking for their latest Galaxy handset is going great. Moreover, the critics are taking the comeback features as a welcoming point, and you could mostly hear the good in the digital realm about these handsets. Expect for some hiccups. Now looking at this rumor coming from the Taiwan that the South Korean brand is gunning for the competition against the upcoming iPhone SE.
The brand is expected to launch a mini variant of the S7 model to compete with the upcoming mini iPhone from the Cupertino giant. The S7 Mini could allegedly sport a 4.6-inch display featuring a low 720p resolution. And could be powered by either Snapdragon 820 or the Exynos 8890 chipset. Other rumoured specs include 3GB of RAM, 12MP rear camera with 3X optical zoom. All this is supposed to be fit in a body of 9.9mm thickness.
Earlier, there was also such rumours that Samsung might be coming with S6 Mini, but that didn’t happen. Looking at the track record of the mini variant of the flagship models from Samsung, the S5 Mini was a failure; it didn’t receive a good word among Samsung consumers. The purpose of mini variants is to offer an affordable variant of the premium flagship. With that company should hope to achieve to a certain audience who are looking to buy a similar looking handset but with lower pricing. Of course, the specs need to be toned down, but with right configuration, it can be an excellent device or disaster to the name of the flagship.
If there is any truth to this rumour, then we hope this time around Samsung has thought this through and shouldn’t repeat the mistakes done with earlier mini variants. Though, we advise you to take the above information with a pinch of salt, as nothing is confirmed yet. Stay tuned in to see how this pans out. Let us know in the comments whether you would like a mini variant of the Galaxy S7 smartphone.
