Samsung has recently launched two new smartphones i.e., the Samsung Galaxy S7 & Galaxy S7 Edge priced at 48,900 & Rs 56,900. It is powered by Exynos 8890 Octa, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with Quad-Core processor clocked 2.3 GHz and Dual-Core processor clocked 2.15 GHz. It has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels as its resolution. It comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB / 64 GB as its internal storage and can be expanded to 200 GB using a Micro SD card. It is powered by a 3600 Li-Ion battery and runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0. The device sports a 12 MP rear camera with LED flash and 5 MP selfie shooter.     SIM card insertion is the very first thing that any user does when they purchase a new device. To insert the SIM card on your device, power off your device and remove the SIM card tray using the SIM Ejector Pin. Now place the SIM card on the tray and place in the respective port and boot your device. You have successfully inserted the SIM card on your device and will be ready for use in some time.

    What is the type of SIM supported on this device?

    It is a dual SIM smartphone and supports dual standby. The SIM card supported by the device is Nano SIM card and the SIM 2 port on the device is a Hybrid SIM card port where can either place the memory card or else insert the SIM on your device.

    How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?

    To share the Data Network on your device, open the Settings and tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. In the new window, tap on Mobile Hotspot and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. The password and network ID for the device can be set by tapping on More button and then click on Configure Mobile Hotspot.

    How to take a Screenshot on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge?

    There are two ways in which you can capture a screenshot on your device.

    Method 1: This is the general method of capturing a screenshot on any Samsung device where you need to press the power button along with the volume down button to capture screenshot on your device.

    Method 2: In the method the screenshot gesture must be enabled on your device. The screenshot can be captured just by swiping the palm from left to right on your screen.

    The captured screenshot from both the methods is saved to the gallery on your device and can be quickly accessed from the notification panel.

    Android Updates help in fixing the bugs on your device. To check for Android Updates on your smartphone, open the settings and tap on About phone.     External Apps can be installed by enabling the Unknown sources option on your device. So to install an app with an external apk, open the settings and tap on Lock Screen and Security.     Screen pinning feature is available on the devices with Android Lollipop on it.     Edge Panel: The Edge panel on the device comes with multiple windows, which can be captured where you can operate all the functions from your edge screen. The Edge can also be adjusted to right or left depending upon once requirement.

    This application is about the general feed which provides the information but you can’t reveal this.

    Edge Lighting:

    S Health application is used to measure the fitness on your device by keeping any eye on your foot count. It also comes with many additional options like Heart Rate, SPO2 , Nike Plus and Puma Tracker. To use this application on your device, open the S Health application and associate your Samsung account with your device. Further, the application is used to keep a track on all the other fitness activities on your device. This application also comes with Dashboard where you can challenge and compete the task with your friends.

    How to measure the Heart Rate on your smartphone?

    Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge comes with a Heart Rate option hidden under the SHealth application which is used to measure the heart rate on your device. To use this on your device, open the S health Application and click on heart Rate. Now place your finger on the Heart Rate Sensor on the back panel. It starts measuring and shows you the heart rate on your device. The measured Heart rate is stored on your device if you have associated the Samsung Account on your device.

    Smart Manager is the application which is used to monitor the functions on your device help in boosting the performance of your device. It comes with four options Battery, Storage, RAM and Device security. Now open the application and click on the clean all button which is used to clear the data on your device.

    What is Always On Display option and how to use it?

    Always on Display is used to keep the display On by adding an additional application on the home screen without disturbing the actual screen. To use this option on your device, open the Settings and tap on display. In the new window, click on Always display on and toggle the off button to enable this on your device.

    What is Easy Mode and how to use that on your device?

    Easy Mode option enlarges the applications on the home screen with limiting the number of applications on your home screen. To enable this option on your device, open the Settings and tap on Easy Mode. In the new window, toggle the off to enable that on your device. Once you enable this option the device restarted and you the easy mode is applied on your device. To get rid of this easy mode, you need to disable that from the settings where the device reboots and come to the normal mode.

    My Galaxy application is used to give you constant stream of offers, discounts, deals, content and care. The application comes with four different columns, i.e., Home, Services, Care, My Page.     How to enable the One Handed Operation on your device?

    One-handed Mode is used to operate your device using a single hand. To enable this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Advanced features. In the new window, tap on One Handed operation and toggle the buttons adjacent to Reduce screen size and One-Handed input to enable that on your device. Now you need to press the home button three times continuously to reduce the screen size on your device.

    How to enable the Send SOS message on your device?

    SOS Message option is helpful if you want to send any message to call anyone during the emergency conditions. To enable this on your device, open the Settings and tap on Privacy and Safety. In the new window, tap on Send SOS message and toggle the off button to enable that on your device. You need to agree on the terms and conditions and add the details of at least one contact. The SOS services are enabled on your device. Now you need to press the power key quickly three times in case of emergency, SOS message with the Google map location is sent to the selected contact. At Max, you can add upto four emergency contacts.
