Samsung has launched two new premium devices, i..e, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes powered by 64 bit Exynos 7420 Soc with Cortex A57 Quad-core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz. It is a single SIM smartphone and supports the 4G connectivity. The design of the device is decent with the curved edges on both the sides. How to insert the SIM card on your device?
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with a non-removable back panel and battery and hence the SIM card slot is on the top edge of the device. To insert a SIM card, power off your device and push the SIM ejector pin in the hole. The SIM card tray pop’s out, now place the SIM card on the tray and push it back in the port and boot your device. You have successfully inserted SIM card on your device.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ is a single SIM smartphone and the SIM card supported by the device is a Nano SIM supporting the 4G connectivity.
How to share your Data network via Tethering on the device?
Sharing of the Data Network on the device can be done using the tethering mode on the device. To share a Data network on your dveice, open the settings and tap on Mobile hotspot and tethering. In the new window, click on Mobile hotspot and tap on the off button to enable that on your device. You can also set up the passoword by tapping on the more button and clicking on configure mobile hotspot.
How to take a Screenshot on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +?
There are two ways in which you can capture a screenshot on your device.
screenshot can be captured by pressing the power button along with the home button together at the same time.
The second method is the gesture method which must be enabled on your device. In this method the screenshot is captured just by swiping the finger/Plam in contact with the screen from left to right on your device.
The screenshot is captured and saved to the gallery option on your device and can be quickly accessed from the notification panel immediately after the capture.
How to check for the Android Updates on the device?
Android Updates help in fixing the minute bugs and errors on the device. To check for updates manually, open the settings tap on About device in the System section. In the new window, tap on software Updates and click on update now. The device checks for updates and downloads the updates. Now tap on the install button, to install the update on your device. The device comes with a 96.46 MB update out of the box and helps in fixing the following bugs.
How to Install external apps with apk files on the device?
External apps with apk can be installed by enabling the Unknow Sources option on your device. To install the app, open the settings and tap on lock screen and security. In the new window, tap on the Unknown sources option and click on the OK button in the pop-up to enable this on your device. Now head over to the file manager and install the apk on your device without any interruption. Before you install, make sure that the application does not harm the system or the device.
How to customize the Quick Settings in the Notification Panel?
The quick settings in the notification panel can be customized by tapping on the edit button in the notification panel. Now drag the applications that you want them to appear in the notification panel and click on done button on the top right of the screen to enable them on your device.
How to use the Power saving modes on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +?
Power saving mode helps in improving the performance of the battery in case of low battery conditions. The device comes with two types of power saving mode, i.e., Normal Power saving mode and Ultra power Saving mode. To use these on your device, open the Settings and tap on battery. In the new window, you will find the options in power saving section, click on the power saving mode that you want to apply. In the new window, toggle the off button to apply that on your device. If you are using the Ultra power saving mode then you need to accept the terms and conditions before you proceed.
What are the sensors available on the phone?
Direction, G-Sensor, Acceleration, Light, E-compass, Proximity, Gyro, Pressure, Linear Acceleration and Rotation Vector are the sensors available on the device and helps in automating the device.
Are there LED notification lights on the device?
Yes, the device comes with an LED notification lights on it. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on sounds and notification. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to LED indicator to enable them on your device.
How to use the Screen pinning feature on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +?
Screen pinning feature is available on the devices with Android lollipop on it. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on lock screen and security. In the new window, click on other settings and tap on pin window in the advanced section. Further, toggle the off button to enable that on your device. Now, open the recent window and select the application that you want to pin and click on the pin icon at the bottom right of the screen.
What are the Pre-installed Apps on the device?
The device comes with Smart Manger, S Planner, S Health, S Voice, Galaxy Apps, Video, E-mail and all the google related apps pre-installed on the device.
Can I Move apps from phone storage to SD card on this device?
There is no Micro SD card slot on your device, so you cannot move apps from internal to external storage on your device.
What are the bloatware applications on the device?
The device comes with few bloatware applications like Microsoft apps, Facebook, Whats App, Instagram and Messenger pre-installed on it.
Can I remove the bloatware apps from the device?
The bloatware application on the device cannot be removed, but there is an option on the device where you can disable these applications from your device. To disable an app, open the settings and tap on Applications. In the new window, tap on application manager and click on the app that you want to disable. Now in the app info window, tap on the Disable button that is on the top right of the screen. The app is successfully disabled and moved to the disabled column on the device that can enabled again from the same window.
What are the Motions and Gestures available on the device?
Motion and Gestures options help you to access few of the options on the device with ease. The motions and gestures options available on the device are Direct Call (Answer the call by placing phone near your ear), Smart Alert(To notify the missed calls and messages when you pick the device), Mute(Helps to mute the device when you place the hand on screen and Palm swipe capture(To capture a screenshot by swiping your palm from left to right on the screen). To enable these options, open the Settings and tap on Motion and Gestures. In the new window, toggle the button adjacent to each of the options to use them on your device.
How much is the internal storage on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +?
The device comes with 32 GB as its internal storage out of which around 24.98 GB of free space is available on the device.
How much free RAM is available on the device if no apps are running?
The device comes with 3GB of RAM out of which 1.4 GB of RAM is used by the system, pre-installed apps use 530 MB and aroud 1.7 GB of free RAM is available when no apps are running on the device.
Does the device support OTG?
Yes, the device does support the USB OTG drive and helps in sharing the information from the device to drive with ease.

How to enable the Easy Mode on the device?
An Easy Mode is an option available on your S6 Edge+ using which you can use the device more easily with a simpler home screen layout and straight forward application interaction. In this, the font size is large and would be applied on the home screen itself. To use this on your device, open the Settings and tap on easy mode in the personal section. In the new window, tap on easy mode and click on the done button that is on the top right of the screen. The easy mode is successfully applied on your device. To disable this option you need to open the settings and tap on easy mode. In the new window, tap on standard mode and click on done button to retrieve device to normal.
How to add a fingerprint on the device?
The device comes with a Fingerprint sensor that can be used for securing your device. To add a fingerprint sensor, open the settings and tap on lock screen and security. In the new window, tap on fingerprints and click on Add Fingerprint and tap on the Confirm button in the pop-up. Now place the finger on the home key and lift it when you feel the vibration and again place it to add the fingerprint on your device. Once the fingerprint is added a success message is displayed on the screen. Now you need to create the backup password and re-enter it to confirm and click on the OK. A new pop-up stating Set Screen lock type is displayed on the screen. Now, click on Set button in the pop-up to set fingerprint as lock screen type on your device.
How to setup the S Health application on the device?
S Health application helps you to track the fitness on your device by counting the footsteps on your device. To use this on your device, open the S Health application from the app drawer and click on the checkbox and agree on the terms and conditions and click on next button. Now sign into your Samsung account to backup the health data easily. Once you are done with signup, you will find the options like Steps, Stress, SPO2, Heart Rate, Running, Nike+ Running, etc.,
How to measure the Heart Rate on your device?
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ comes with a Heart Rate option in the S Health app where you can measure your heartrate. To use this, open the S health app and tap on Measure button below the Heart Rate option. Now place the finger on the sensor adjacent to the camera to measure the heart rate. The heart rate is measured and displayed on the screen; this data can bed saved by tapping on the Save button on the top right of the screen to maintain the records. In the same way, you can measure the Stress Rate, Oxygen Level(SPO2) of your body on the device.
What is Smart Manager and how to use it?
Smart Manager is an application which is used to boost the performance of the device by clearing the cache of the device and helps in optimizing the battery level of your device. To use this on your device, open the Smart Manager application from the App drawer. You will find four different options, i.e., Battery, Storage, RAM and De Security. Now click on Clean All, to clear the junk from your device.
