Samsung Galaxy J4+ & Galaxy J6+ Launched with 6″ HD+ Display & Snapdragon 425 SoC
Samsung Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ leaks are all over the internet. The company now officially unveiled both the devices without revealing the pricing or the availability details. While we expected Samsung to be more aggressive with these two new devices, the specifications reveal same old underpowered hardware as seen on the previous Galaxy J smartphones. Also, we expect these smartphones don’t come any cheap.
On the design front, both the Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ look exactly same. While the Galaxy J4+ sports single rear camera, the Galaxy J6+ will be coming with dual rear cameras. Also, the power button on the Galaxy J6+ is replaced with a fingerprint sensor that also acts as the power button. While the Galaxy J6+ comes in Black, Red, and Grey color options, the Galaxy J4+ will be available in Black, Gold, and Pink colors.
Apart from the cameras and storage, both the devices share exactly the same hardware. The devices come with a 6.0” Infinity display with HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor which was first launched in 2016. Last year’s Xiaomi Redmi 5A and 10.or D smartphones priced at Rs 4,999 came with the same chipset. Even with declining market share, the company doesn’t seem to care about the budget segment.
While the Galaxy J4+ comes with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage, the Galaxy J6+ offers 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The Galaxy J4+ comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. On the other hand, the Galaxy J6+ sports 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture and an 8MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture.
