The South Korean Giant has launched its new device called as Galaxy J2 Ace in India for a price of Rs. 8,490. The device was spotted online a few days back and as we expected Samsung had launched this midrange device. The handset will support 4G VoLTE support which lets the Indian customers use the service of Reliance Jio network.
Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy J2 Ace sports a 5-inch 960 x 540 PLS TFT display and has a 2600mAh battery on the back to power the device. Under the hood, there is quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor with a clocking speed of 1.4 GHz coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. Out of the box, the handset will feature Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and nothing is mention about its future updates.
On the rear, the Galaxy J2 Ace has an 8MP camera sensor with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture which can record 720p videos. This dual SIM hand set also has a 5MP front facing camera with LED flash for selfie lovers. There are other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, and A-GPS. The handset measures 132.6 mm x 69.3 mm x 8.9 mm and weighs 131 grams. The onboard memory of the device is 8GB which can be further extended up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
The handset will come in Gold, Silver, and Black color variants and will be available via all he major outlets in India. It will be competing against devices like Xiaomi Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, SwipeElite Plus, Lenovo Vibe K5, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, Honor 4X and few other devices that come with similar specifications. Moreover, there is 30 days guarantee of refund if the price is dropped within 30 days after the purchase.
According to the listing, the device is going to feature a 5-inch display with qHD (540 x 960) resolution and will be powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. There is an onboard storage of 8GB that could be further extended up to 256GB via microSD card slot. On the back, there is a Li-Ion 2600mAh battery to power the device and comes with 8MP rear facing camera along with 5MP camera on the front. There are camera features like Auto Flash, CMOS Image Sensor, Self-Timer, Touch to Focus, Scene Mode, and ISO Setting.
There are the sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro Sensor, and Geomagnetic Sensor. There are other connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.2, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot and 3.5 audio jack. The handset supports dual SIM and supports LTE connectivity also. The second SIM slot is a hybrid slot and supports Micro size cards. It will be the successor of the Galaxy j1 Ace that was released earlier.
Samsung is planning to unveil its Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A3 (2017) , Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy S8 and many other devices.
