Samsung Galaxy Fold Gets Ready for a September Launch in Selected Markets

The South Korean giant – Samsung has been making the foldable devices from a few years and it was unveiled earlier this year. The device was having few display issues and the review units that were distributed among the testers were recalled and the launch of the device was postponed. Now the device ready for a relaunch and will be going for sale from September in selected markets.

Samsung has confirmed the same and it also said that it has made all the improvements and was conducting final tests. The main changes include strengthening the hinges which have the major issue. The Huawei Mate X which is the direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Fold is also expected to be going for sale in September. It will be interesting to see if the company would be launching the devices without any glitches this time.

Few analysts say that the excitement among the customers has dampened not and since their confidence in the Galaxy Fold smartphone has gone down, it will be a decent performance even if Samsung manages to sell 300,000 devices in this year. Everyone might be eagerly waiting for the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 series but the South Korean Giant has few other plans as it is getting ready to re-launch its Galaxy Fold device after it was criticized for its display issues. According to a few sources, Samsung is getting ready for the relaunch of the device and Industry experts and professions are said to be done testing the foldable device. Furthermore, the handset is said to have passed a series of test and is good to be reintroduced into the market.

A Samsung Display executive has mentioned the Galaxy Fold is ready but they are not sure about a July launch. They are looking to bring the device into the market in the third quarter. The issues like hinge improvements and screen fix are coming soon and he also mentioned that the fix was not ready last month but we remained positive it to be available soon.

The Mate X from Huawei has been delayed to September because it does not want to make any mess like we have seen with Samsung and it is keen to give a final product which is ready. The Galaxy Note 10 will be announced at the Galaxy Fold event on August 7 and we might get information about the Galaxy Fold device also but nothing is sure about it yet. Samsung will make sure that this time it is not going to make any mistake while launching the device again and for that, it might take a few extra days to make sure everything is fixed.

The official launch of the device was postponed due to the issues with the phone and even the Employee training in China were called off after the report of reviews until being called back from the reviewers. To remind you, this luxurious foldable device from Samsung comes with a 7.3-inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED display while a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED screen when folded. It is powered with 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 12GB of RAM and will come out of the box with Android 9 Pie with ONE UI on top.

There are 6 camera sensors on the Galaxy Fold with 10MP Dual Pixel camera placed on the notch while there is an 8MP depth-sensing camera also. On the rear, we can see a triple camera setup with 12MP Dual Pixel camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera along with One 10MP camera is placed on the top.
