Just after the Nougat update was rolled out to Zenfone 3 Laser a few days ago, Asus has decided to push the Nougat update to its Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL and ZC520TL variants. Today the company also dropped the price of the Zenfone 3 series smartphones, and moreover, Asus updated the information on its ZenTalk forum although nothing is giving about the change-logs.
These devices will be getting the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update, and the device will be moving from Marshmallow directly. The update version mentioned is 14.0200.1704.119, `and it has just started rolling out to the supported devices which will take about a week to be available for all the devices. If you are not going to wait for the update to be received via OTA, the user can do it manually, for which you need to go to the settings of the device and select the about device section where you will find the new update that has to be downloaded and installed.
After downloading the update, do backup all the data and also make sure that the charge is more than 60 percent before the installation process starts. The update will bring many bug fixes and other software enhancements although nothing is mentioned about it. The Zenfone 3 Max come with a 5.2-inch of the display screen with Zen UI 3.0 on top, and under the hood, there is a MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM. There are a 13MP main sensor and a 5MP selfie camera. There is a fingerprint sensor to enhance the security levels and has a 4130 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery.
