Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) with 4GB RAM & 16MP Camera Spotted on GFXbench

Just after launching the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2016) in China, there are few rumors suggesting a Pro version of te Galaxy A9 to be launched soon. Now the listing on GFXbench spill out the few details of the Galaxy A9 Pro that comes with the model number SM-A9100. Unlike the recently launched the 2016 Galaxy A series devices, the latest device runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with latest TouchWiz UI out-of-the-box.

The listing confirms the device to sport a 5.5-inch display while the A9 2016 came with a 6-inch display. While the import data on Zauba mentioned the screen size of Galaxy A9 Pro as 6-inches, all this makes  It comes powered by an unknown octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, which we believed to be new 64-bit Snapdragon 652 processor from Qualcomm. The 3GB RAM on the Galaxy A9 (2016) is upgraded to 4GB of the Pro variant.

In the camera department, we can see an upgraded 16MP rear camera while the selfie camera stays at 8MP as on the Galaxy A9. While this is too early to get a view on a smartphone that too with a little bit confused specs, take this with a pinch salt of salt until there is an official information. Talking about the Galaxy A9 (2016), it was already on sale in China and is priced at 3,199 Yuan (approx $487 / Rs. 33,000).

It came with the same 6-inch Super AMOLED display with Ful HD resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device looks premium with its all metal body and slim design. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button for making the device a bit more secure.

The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support that can easily last for more than a day of usage. While we aren’t expecting any major changes in the design of the Galaxy A9 Pro, and there will be few hardware upgrades that make it more powerful device than the Galaxy A9.
