The South Korean giant launched its Galaxy A80 smartphone in Thailand earlier this year in the month of April, later it was made available in other markets also. Now, Samsung has decided to launch the smartphone in India for Rs. 47,990 for the 8 GB + 128 GB storage option, after it was rumored to be launched in June. It was also made available for purchase in China a few days back, while in India, the handset will be available for purchase from August 1 via Samsung’s online shop. Furthermore, Samsung is also providing free one-time screen replacement offer for the users who pre-books the smartphone between July 22nd and July 31. Well, to remind you, the Galaxy A80 smartphone comes with a triple camera setup that can be rotated to be used as a front camera also. The device is equipped with a 6.7-inch New Infinity Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio and has the new infinity display without any notch or any kind of punch-hole display for the selfie sensor.
To power the Galaxy A80 smartphone there is an 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 470 and Adreno 618 GPU. The handset comes out of the box with Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the companies own One UI on top. The device also has an in-display fingerprint sensor along with the AI facial unlocking support. It supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C port and has 3700mAh battery on the back along with the support for 25W fast charging.
Talking about the cameras, there is a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a ToF 3D depth sensor along with a LED flash. For selfies, the whole camera setup slides up and then rotates to the front for selfies. The handset can be bought in Phantom Black, Ghost White and Angel Gold color options and the payments made through Citibank credit card can get 5 percent cash back on the purchase.
