Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) with Triple Rear Cameras Launched, Pricing Starts from Rs 23,990

Last week, Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone. While the company took too long time to embrace the dual camera setup, the newly launched Galaxy A7 sports Triple camera setup. It is the second Triple camera smartphone to launch in the Indian market. While there only a few smartphones with Triple cameras, the Galaxy A7 is the most affordable among them. In India, the Galaxy A7 (2018) comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.
Coming to the pricing, the 2018 Galaxy A7 with 4GB and 6GB of RAM is priced at Rs 23,990 and Rs 28,990 respectively. It will be sold via Flipkart and Samsung eShop. The new Galaxy A7 (2018) comes right after launching the ridiculously priced Galaxy J4+ and Galaxy J6+ smartphones. It comes with the glass sandwich design sporting 2.5D curved glass placed on either side of the metal frame. The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will be available in Blue, Black, and Gold color options
It sports 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with Full HD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the in-house Exynos 7885 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. This is the same chipset that also powers the 2018 Galaxy A8 smartphones. While the 4GB RAM variant offers 64GB of internal storage, the 6GB RAM variant offers 128GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage up to 512GB.
Talking about the triple camera setup on the rear, the Galaxy A7 (2018) sports 24MP low-light camera with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP live focus camera with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the device offers a 24MP fixed-focus sensor on the front with f/2.0 aperture. The camera app includes auto scene detection, live focus, manual mode, and other options. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied by a LED flash.
The device is backed by a 3,300mAh battery and should support adaptive fast charging. It measures just 7.5mm thick and weighs 169 grams. The Galaxy A7 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung Experience UI laid on top. As seen on the Galaxy J6+, the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy A7 (2018) is also placed on the right edge. While there is no dedicated Bixby button, the device will also support Bixby. As the device supports NFC, it also comes with full-fledged Samsung Pay support.
Connectivity options include Cat.6 LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz & 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
