Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy A50 along with the Galaxy A10 and Galaxy A30 smartphones. During its launch time, the Galaxy A50 is the most affordable smartphone to come with triple rear cameras and in-display fingerprint scanner. In India, the Galaxy A50 launched in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants priced at Rs 19,990 and Rs 22,990 respectively. Now, the company announced a price cut of Rs 1,500 on both the variants.

Now, the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants of the Galaxy A50 smartphone can be purchased for Rs 18,490 and Rs 21,490 respectively. Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy A50 comes with a 6.4-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the device comes powered by 10nm Exynos 9610 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz. It comes coupled with Mali-G72 GPU to look after the graphical performance.

The device also comes with a MicroSD card for further expanding the storage up to 512GB. Talking about the cameras, the triple camera setup on the rear features 25MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the waterdrop notch on the front features a 25MP camera. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with One UI skin laid on top.

It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 15W fast charging using the USB Type-C port. In the coming weeks, the company will also launch the high-end Galaxy A80 smartphone. It is the first-ever Samsung smartphone to come with a true bezel-less display. Instead of the pop-up selfie camera, the Galaxy A80 uses the same triple cameras on the rear for selfies.
