OnePlus 7 Pro Users complain about ‘Random Touch-Screen’ issues: Report

It’s been a couple of weeks since the OnePlus 7, and the OnePlus 7 Pro devices have been launched globally. The flagship OnePlus 7 Pro is currently available in India starting at Rs 48,999 for the base variant, which comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
This OnePlus 7 Pro is said to be the most advanced and fastest and ultra-premium smartphone ever, according to the company. The flagship phone has also been well received globally, and the reviews have already been pouring in. Regardless, some of the OnePlus 7 Pro device owners have been complaining about the new flagship as it tends to be experiencing few touch screen issues on the OnePlus forum lately.
Few of the OnePlus 7 Pro owners have been complaining on OnePlus forums and on Twitter as well referring the touch screen issues as ‘ghost/phantom’ touches. Meaning, the users are experiencing random touch inputs on the OnePlus 7 Pro (features a 2K display with refresh rates of up to 90Hz), especially on the top right of the screen, all this without tapping the screen manually. There are multiple videos which are showcasing this particular issue.
Moreover, the reason for what’s causing the problem is still unknown. Majority of the reports are stating opening up the CPU-Z app, which displays the device’s hardware specifications is triggering the issue. However, there other reports of the users suggesting the same in other phone apps such as messaging app, chrome, and more.
Android Police’s report indicates that there are about 74 reports on the OnePlus forums regarding these random touch screen issues on the OnePlus 7 Pro. The report also further states other OnePlus 7 Pro owners who are facing the problems can report via OnePlus community app or on the website directly. Meanwhile, OnePlus still needs to address the issue and roll out a fix since it is considered to be a software issue. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more such interesting updates.
