Samsung has officially confirmed to launch new Galaxy A smartphones on April 10th. The company is expected to launch the Galaxy A90, Galaxy A40, Galaxy A20, and Galaxy A2 Core smartphones. While the press renders of the Galaxy A2 Core are leaked online, there is not much information about the other Galaxy A devices. However, the newly leaked images reveal the first look of the Galaxy A40 smartphone.
If these images are to be believed, the Galaxy A40 looks very much similar to the Galaxy A30. It comes with an Infinity-U display on the front and dual camera setup on the rear. We can also spot a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device. Unlike the Galaxy A30, the Galaxy A40 might come in gradient color options. It will be offering curved glossy finish body. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.
In Europe, the Galaxy A40 is expected to cost around EUR 250 (approx USD 285 / INR 19,500). Talking about the rumored specifications, the device will be featuring a 5.7-inch display with Full HD+ resolution. We also expect the company to use the Super AMOLED panel. Under the hood, it comes powered by 14nm Exynos 7885 clocked at 2.2GHz. It is the same processor which also powered the last years’ Galaxy A8 smartphone.
The new Galaxy A40 will be launched with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It might also come in other storage options as well. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and should support fast charging via the USB Type-C port. It will be running on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with the latest One UI skin on top. We have to wait until April 10 to know the official details including the specifications and pricing.
