Samsung is the only global smartphone manufacturer that has been launching some decent tablets. Keeping aside the premium tablets like Galaxy View and Galaxy Tab S2, Samsung also had few affordable tablets. While the affordable tablet maker DataWind occupied the major share in the Indian tablet ecosystem, Samsung tablet offers better experience along with good after sales support. Samsung will also be launching the premium Galaxy Tab S3 as the successor to Galaxy Tab S2 in the coming weeks.
As of now, the company offered a slight price cut for three of its Android tablets – Galaxy Tab A, Tab E, and Tab 3V. The most affordable tablet among the three is the Galaxy Tab 3V (T116N). After a price cut of Rs. 560, it is now available for Rs. 8,690. It comes with 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It includes 1GB RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The 3,600mAh battery on the Galaxy Tab 3V is rated to deliver 8 hours of video playback.
Talking about the Galaxy Tab A (T355Y) and Tab E (T561N), both the tablets got a price cut of Rs. 1,400 each. Now the Galaxy Tab A costs Rs. 16,500 while the Galaxy Tab E costs Rs. 15,500. The Galaxy Tab E sports a 9.6-inch display with WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution and the Galaxy Tab A comes with an 8-inch display with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. The Galaxy Tab E packs 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage whereas the Galaxy Tab A has 2GB of RAM and doubled 16GB of storage.
While the three tablets support SIM cards, only the Galaxy Tab A supports 4G LTE whereas the other two are settled for just 3G HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity. In case if you are looking some good device to media consumption, then the Galaxy Tab A and Tab E does the job perfectly. The Galaxy Tab 3V comes with an affordable price tag; it also has its own compromises.
